Alix has worked closely with some of the most vulnerable people in society to co-design how digital tooling can work for the many. This research and co-design work has focused on how leading technologies, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) can be implemented to support and engage users.

The work has uncovered exciting opportunities. During the difficult years of the pandemic, many of those who were previously digitally excluded have taken up digital tooling to stay connected - especially Whatsapp. The service has been used to stay in touch with family through messages, photos and even video and audio files. It has become an essential medium for users to stay connected to their communities.
